The Secret Ringelblum Archive

Emanuel Ringelblum

A Polish-Jewish historian, political activist, educator, and social welfare worker. During World War II, he secretly organized "Oneg Shabbat" in the German-occupied Warsaw Ghetto, documenting ghetto life, persecution, mass deportations, and the Nazi extermination policy against Jews. The materials collected under his leadership came to be known after the war as the "Ringelblum Archive," serving as a vital primary source in Holocaust research.
