Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler
An Austrian-born German politician, leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazi Party), and dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1945. He began his political activities in Germany after World War I and became the leader of the Nazi Party in 1921. After being imprisoned following the failed Beer Hall Putsch of 1923, he authored "Mein Kampf," advocating antisemitism, racial nationalism, anti-communism, and territorial expansion to the East. Upon becoming Chancellor in 1933, he established a dictatorial regime, promoting military rearmament and territorial expansion. His invasion of Poland in 1939 initiated World War II in Europe, during which he led and promoted the Holocaust and mass atrocities under the Nazi regime. He committed suicide in 1945 during the Soviet siege of Berlin.
