Black Intellectuals

During the era of imperialism and global conflict, Black intellectuals reshaped American civil rights, pan-Africanist thought, and international diplomacy. They challenged institutional racism, imperialism, and labor exploitation while connecting the struggle for domestic racial equality with global anti-colonial movements. Their activism and scholarship laid the intellectual foundations for the modern civil rights and anti-imperialist movements.
